Taylor Swift has officially reclaimed ownership of her first six albums, marking the end of a years-long battle over her master recordings. The pop icon announced the milestone on her website, expressing overwhelming joy at finally owning all of her music.

Swiftโ€™s journey to regain control of her catalog began in 2019 when music manager Scooter Braun acquired Big Machine Records, which held the rights to her early albums. The masters were later sold to Shamrock Capital, prompting Swift to embark on a re-recording project known as Taylorโ€™s Version to reclaim her work.

In her heartfelt statement, Swift shared that she had purchased the rights to her original recordings outright, ensuring full autonomy over her music. "All of the music I've ever made now belongs to me," she wrote, adding that she had been bursting into tears of joy since learning the deal was finalized.

While Swift has successfully re-recorded several albums, including Fearless, Red, Speak Now, and 1989, she revealed that Reputation (Taylorโ€™s Version) remains unfinished. "I kept hitting a stopping point when I tried to remake it," she explained, noting that the album was deeply tied to a specific period in her life.

Fans and industry experts alike have praised Swiftโ€™s determination to reclaim her artistic legacy, with many viewing her victory as a significant moment for artists' rights in the music industry.
