Sony Cuts Jim Thornton Loose From Wheel of Fortune

Family-hour television does not wait for a trial. Sony Pictures Television told TMZ it fired Jim Thornton after an investigation. The chain started on a May American Airlines flight when a passenger reported disturbing material on a laptop.

A complaint, a crew order to close the computer, police contact, suspension, then termination: that is the employment file. It is not a verdict. We will not quote the alleged messages.
