NEW YORK — It was supposed to be a celebration of "togetherness," but for many Harry Styles fans, the only thing coming together this week is a massive credit card bill.

As the first wave of presales for Styles’ 2026 "Together, Together" residency kicked off, the internet erupted in sticker shock. With top-tier VIP packages at Madison Square Garden reportedly hitting an eye-watering $1,667 and standard "pit" tickets soaring past $700, the "Harries" are doing the one thing no one expected: pushing back.

The Shade Heard ‘Round the World

Enter former One Direction bandmate Zayn Malik. During his own residency show at the Park MGM in Las Vegas on Wednesday night, Zayn took a pause that has since gone viral.

"I just want to say a big, big thank you for being here with me tonight," Zayn told the cheering crowd, before adding a cheeky shrug and a grin. "Hopefully, the ticket prices weren't too high—just saying."

The crowd’s audible gasp and subsequent roar on social media have reignited the long-dormant 1D rivalry. While Zayn’s own tickets range from a more modest $93 to $223, fans were quick to point out the timing of his remark. "Oh hell... 2026 really is 2016. Welcome back, Shady Zayn," one viral post on X (formerly Twitter) noted.

"Is Live Music Only for the Rich?"

The backlash isn't just about celebrity drama; it’s about the "VIP-only" era of music. Critics are calling the pricing "greedy" and "out of touch," especially for a tour marketed on the theme of connection.

"I’ve loved him for 14 years," one fan wrote in a post with 40,000 likes. "But music should be accessible. Remember how you started, Harry."

With over 11.5 million people vying for a limited number of seats in New York alone, the scarcity is real—but for many, the cost of entry is now officially "the price of a month's rent."
