Has Volkswagen learned their lesson after paying out some 14 Billion?

Volkswagen will pay some $2.8 billion in criminal penalty fees, 1.5 billion in civil cases and 11 billion to buy back cars and offer customers incentives.

Volkswagen pleaded guilty to conspiracy and obstruction of justice in connection with accurate allegations that they programmed their cars to turn off pollution controls when driving on the road and to them back on when testing.

Have they learned their lesson?

Volkswagen will be under a 3 year probation period and held to account by the US government to ensure that they have.
