The internet is divided over the mission of John Chau's that ended with his death on Andaman Is

A heartbreaking outcome for 26-year-old John Allen Chau, a young man on whose mission to spread the bibles message was cut short after his body was discovered on Andaman Island this week.

It is believed that the inhabitants of Andaman Island had migrated to island from Africa over 1,000 years ago, and have been hostile to outsiders as long as anyone can remember.

Chau wanted to bring the message of the Bible to them, noting the very real dangers in a letter penned to his parents.

While some are praising him for his courage online, others comment that his mission was doomed from the start.
